5South Band is now filling our events calendar for 2009. Year 2008 was extremely successful with shows on the USS Midway; Golden Hall; and in the blocked-off streets of downtown San Diego. WOW! I had a blast [at the Galley] - the set list was varied and jumpin'! There was something for everyone - I even got my I'll-never-dance date onto the dance floor...thanks guys!

Hello 5 South members, I saw you guys at the chili cookoff not too long ago and wanted to give you guys kudos. Truthfully, I wasn't expecting the entertainment to be that good--but you guys were awesome. The cover you did of that old 80s song "La Bamba" would make Los Lobos proud--and I should know. That is my absolute favorite soundtrack. That song you did in Spanish was good too. I didn't know what you were saying but it sounded nice. That should be your niche. I hope you make it up to the Bay Area some day. I am passing your website on to a few friends in San Diego so at least they can see you. Good luck!
