WOW! I had a blast [at the Galley] - the set list was varied and jumpin'! There was something for everyone - I even got my I'll-never-dance date onto the dance floor...thanks guys!

Hello 5 South members, I saw you guys at the chili cookoff not too long ago and wanted to give you guys kudos. Truthfully, I wasn't expecting the entertainment to be that good--but you guys were awesome. The cover you did of that old 80s song "La Bamba" would make Los Lobos proud--and I should know. That is my absolute favorite soundtrack. That song you did in Spanish was good too. I didn't know what you were saying but it sounded nice. That should be your niche. I hope you make it up to the Bay Area some day. I am passing your website on to a few friends in San Diego so at least they can see you. Good luck!

5Southband has ended its incredible 5 year journey.The following was posted on our Facebook page on January 30, 2010:
Sincere thanks to all those who came out to the Brewhouse last night to be a part of what was 5 South's last gig for awhile, and probably forever. Also, thanks for the friendship and support you've given us over the last 5 years. If we were able to make you smile, laugh, dance, forget about your troubles or pains, or even rekindle some long lost friendships, then it was all worth it to us. It was a privelege and a pleasure to play for you and with you. Peace!
